Northern Virginia Fall Wedding

This beautiful wedding was such a JOY for us!!! When we first met Casey and Megan with her sweet family we knew they were going to be a great fit for us! Over the months we enjoyed getting to know them better. Everything from sharing a splendid Summer evening capturing their Engagement Session at Airlie, to excited emails as their wedding date grew closer. They are the cutest couple and have a love-at-first-sight kind of story of their meeting and quickly falling for each other! ADORABLE!!

Fall is such a delightful time for a wedding and their day was absolutely blessed with amazing weather & sunshine in abundance! Their venue, Arbor Haven, created the perfect backdrop for their dusty blue & grey wedding colors. The outdoor ceremony on the dock and gazebo was enjoyed by their friends and family in the shade of the willow trees. This special day was such a gift, in light of all the craziness this year has brought, to see loved ones gathered together celebrating life & love truly touched our hearts. We were warmed by the attendance of Megan’s precious grandparents, a beautiful couple, and we could see how much sharing the day meant with them. We LOVE these moments!

The reception that followed was abounding with fun and fabulous! Guests were treated to a unique entrance from the bridal party, and our happily married bride & groom. The evening was complete with a delicious catered meal, toasts from their loved ones, lots of cheers and DANCING! Their DJ, Eric Herod did a fabulous job keeping the evening and the dance floor lively! The couple included a sweet gesture to their precious pups who couldn’t be there, they were proudly featured on the wedding cake. Too CUTE!! The photo booth with props that was an amusing treat for everyone. In addition to the traditional dances with parents, Megan and her mom shared a dance that had us both in tears. It’s beautiful how a moment can capture it all… love… happiness… laughter… holding on… letting go… THANKFULNESS!!!

Megan wore an exquisitely designed gown and veil by Ava Laurenne Bridal. She was radiant and it was clear she had found the perfect pair for the WOW! We were thrilled with the long flowing veil when it was time for portraits! Casey looked dapper in his grey tuxedo and dusty blue tie and boutonnière. They were simply superb together! Bridesmaids wore Azazie dresses in a light dusty blue softly cascading chiffon & groomsmen donned grey tuxedos with matching blue ties. Together they were a good-looking bridal party … with a festive personality to match!

Portraits were taken near the barn on the venue and the bridal party was treated to a little visit from a cute little four legged friend! The sun was gloriously scattered through the towering trees in the field and we were loving the LIGHT. This couple is so lighthearted and made it an ease for us to capture as many portraits as possible in the sliver of time we had before the reception. Making our way to the reception Megan and Casey took a quick venture up into the barn, and we’re so glad they did, with the bridal party down below it was a picture perfect scene!

As the evening grew later the temperatures brought us a reminder that it was Fall. We were thankful for the warmth of the structured tent and the jubilant friends & family inside. It was a great time for everyone! To finish off the celebration guests gladly embraced the chill outside to join in a sparkler sendoff for Megan and Casey! The glow was awesome and our couple each shared a few fun dips met with laughter! The perfect way to bring a close to their blissful wedding day!

We had such a fabulous time sharing in the wedding of our happily married newlyweds and their lovely friends & family! This wedding will be fondly remembered for the joy it brought to an uncertain year and we’re truly grateful for the memories. We wish our sweet couple all the best and hope they are enjoying every minute of being husband and wife!
